One’s commitment level with God
is something man contrived
as one limits service to Him
putting some things aside

because priorities were changed
other things have been done
and life seems smooth no need for prayer
or mindful of God’s Son

for one must be careful it seems
that busyness doesn’t win
from time spent with God above
Who keeps us far from sin
____
how can God use us if we balk
seeking less than we ought
when spiritual things go neglected
the will of God not sought
____
has the perfect will of God changed
since the time one is saved
because man does not yield to Him
and walk the path He’s made
____
whereby the will of man hinders
the blessing he could own
not committed to God’s lordship
or leadership He’s shown
____
dedication is the answer
faithfulness is the key
obedience does find favor
from God’s authority
